Advion Group Ltd. visit to Mexico

Advion Group. Ltd, together with its Mexican partners shall arrange a business visit to Mexico on Saturday 10.6– Saturday 17.6. 2017

An Executive level business trip and investor meetings in Mexico.

Advion Group Ltd, with its Mexican and Finnish partners, organized a seminar in Helsinki on 7th March 2017 with the title “Circulation Economy in Mexico”. In continuation to this seminar, Advion is now organizing a business trip to Mexico for the company executives of the following circulation economy segments:

– Water management (water purification, water de-salination and water distribution)

– Energy (solar power, bio-gas and bio-fuel)

– Waste management (waste collection and handling, incineration, waste tire management)

Mexican public sector as well as the private sector and private investors have expressed an extensive interest in the Finnish technology of these segments. Since the 7.3.2017 event there have been already tangible discussions and mutual interest to introduce circular economy technologies and to proceed into practical and concrete business cases. The focus of the June visit will be to meet with key persons, decision makers and influencers, press and other media and prospective clients to present the offering and the value added of the accompanying Finnish companies. The visit in Mexico serves also to familiarize Finnish suppliers with the real, local conditions and to present the concrete business cases and possibilities to the companies.

The trip to Mexico is hence not a match making visit. It shall be based on agreed, pre-agreed programs and meetings, site visits and agenda between those parties who already have concrete business cases or have opened a dialogue with the Mexican party. The preparation of the program has started and during the coming weeks we will make commence planning and preparations with participating companies to make sure their offering is known before we embark on the trip.

This visit is based on personal and company dedicated agenda and therefore the number of delegations is limited. If you are interest in participating, kindly be in touch with Advion at your earliest convenience for further discussions about your company’s business objectives in Mexico and possibly beyond, in other Latin American market.

Sincerely

Ari Virtanen

Emerging Mexican Market 7.3.2017

Interest to the Mexican Market – The auditorium of Osuuspankki Plc. was filled to the brim!

Advion Group Ltd. and its partners organized in Helsinki on Tuesday 7th. March 2017 a very actual and the to the point seminar. The seminar focused on the recycling economy in Mexico’s emerging market, and discussed about the opportunities for Finnish companies in Mexico and the market entry possibilities . The event filled the auditorium of Osuuspankki Plc to the brim.

In addition to a large number of Finnish companies, the seminar was addended e.g. by the official representatives of three other Latin American countries, embassy representatives, trade finance agencies and also by the  representatives of the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

The entire Latin America as a market area is a very interesting and growing region. The political and economic center of debate today is Mexico. Finnish companies’ exports to Mexico was only EUR 250 million in 2016, which corresponds to only a 0.5% share of exports. Mexico is now fully open market economy: the country’s trade exchange with other countries is the largest in Latin America and the eighth largest in the world.

Latin America is the most urbanized region of the world and Mexico is the second largest in terms of urban population in the Latin region, right after Brazil. There are about 120 million inhabitants in Mexico with over 80 million living in an urban environment.

Continuing urbanization coupled with the growth of population creates political and social challenges but on the other side, also tremendous business opportunities. The seminar program focused on circular economy, including issues like water purification, decentralized energy production, waste management and recycling, and topics like intelligent lighting and building solutions, e-health services, hospitals and education were mentioned for the future agenda.

The representatives of the embassy of Mexico’s and the trade and investment organization disclosed the extensive possibilities and demand in Mexico circular economy segments, take by surprise by many seminar participants.

Finnish presentations discussed about export funding and financial facilities available. A practical case of a successful market penetration in Mexico encouraged the participants.

The Chairman of the seminar, Kirsi Seppäläinen summed up the day as “open atmosphere and full of facts”.

The seminar served as a good opportunity for networking and post-seminar discussions and meetings served as a good opportunity to agree upon tangible continuation between companies.

Advion Group will continue the theme of the Mexico, latest in June 2017 . The next step and objective of Advion is to co-host a Mexican delegation in Finland  and the third phase of the Mexico-theme will  be organized in mid- June in Guadalajara, Mexico, during the  International Seminar of  “Digital Economy Show”,  with Advion Group CEO Ari Virtanen holding  a key note speech . Advion Group is inviting Finnish companies to send their delegates to this interesting business trip.

Advion Group would like to thank all the participants and collaborators of the seminar. The event was a success – this was a good start for a mutual co-operation and a work to boost up the trade between Mexico and Finland!
